Tivo ("from which goodness and entertain come... ohmmmmmm") has won a patent lawsuit with Dish / Echo Star. And it is begger than that.
Tivo holds the patent for being able to watch a show from a Hard Disk and simultaneously record to the disk. That means if you want to watch a show and record another on disk - you gotta get a license from Tivo.
What does this mean to Scooter. The wonderful sound of "doodt DOodt DOODT" will not be going away. Tivo was a risk of going under. That is now going to happen... and all was right with the world.
