Week-end Pow Wow

The sad sad story of Gavin’s Sister’s “surprise” birthday party shall be regaled later. That was the stated purpose of our Ohio trip. That and to visit with Lynnie.
.
Well, the Lynnie part went well. We were there from Friday night to Sunday morning. Apart for the visiting and hanging out and missing the said birthday party, what did we do?
.
Why we went to the Olentangy Indian Caves!!! It was so, what’s the word, little kid fabulous, little-kid-in-Scooter tacky that it was wonderful.
.
First you go down the spooky steps. Actually, the cave is very cool. It isn’t like Carlsbad Caverns or Mitchell Caverns or anything, but it does have full on stalactites and stalagmites. There was a river down there and the little kids on our tour could not have had more fun. There had been a giant thunderstorm the night before, so the ground was soaked, and the interior of the cave was very drippy. How much did the wee folk dig that?!
.
There was also a full blown Indian Trading Post, full of made in China real live Indian crap.
.
And it is O-len-tan-gee Indian cave, not O-len-tan-ke.
.
But it was O len Fun O.
