I Love the British Word: Exchecker

Two peoples, separated by a common language.
.
I love the term "Exchecker".  Only in British could one give us a word that so eloquently  brings to mind both competence and foppery.
.
It is, truly, a Woodhousian turn of phrase.  It is up there with Jumble Sale (where there is nary a jumble to be found) and Garden Fete.
