I think that too many performers think 1 man shows are easy. They are not nearly as easy to pull off as they expect. I mean Sheri Rene Scott here was amazing.

But her story had a moral and music and laughter.

Last night I saw a show with laughter. That is not enough.

I have reviewed about 4 one-man shows. I didn't like most of them. I don't know if it is me or the shows - but they don't work. All in different ways.

Last night's show was funny, but had no real purpose. No thematic thread to hang his stories on - and so it just came off as singular satisfaction for the performer.
