I have, to put it kindly, be generously endowed in the ear department. Oh scoff if you like, but in the Mysterious Far East big earlobes are considered a sing of great wisdom - hence the pictures of Buddha with giant lobes.

I too have giant lobes. And the big huge elephant ears to go with them.

But here is what I have learned recently from earbud headphones... My ear canal only takes the "small" ear bud. Yes, there is a reason my ears flop around like human satellite dishes - I need them to bring noise to my tiny little ear canals.

It is one of those tricks of nature that I would have missed had it not been for iPods and the iPhone.
