Good For BYU

It is easy for me (or most anyone) to be amazed that a team would kick off a key player right before the national tournament.  I mean, this is a win at all cost mindset in the world right now.
.
And so I am pleased to say that BYU honors their word more than winning by removing their key center from playing.  Now the infraction, he had sex with his girlfriend, is a little odd to me.  But that is the contract he has with the school and he agreed to honor it.
.
In a environment where many schools excuse violence, not just between team members and non-team members, but against women, excuse theft and all other types of infractions, it is good to see a school teach that actions have consequences.
.
The Mormons may be a little crazy ( you could be kicked off for having sex outside of marriage - but not sex with multiple wives - as long as you are married to all of them), but they are consistent.  You always know where you stand (on the outside if you aren't Mormon and are white, on the outer limits if you aren't Mormon and were caste out (African American) and burning in hell if you aren't Mormon and are gay).
