Wonky Interest Item

So the Texas Republican delegation to the Republican convention is fighting the rules committee.  Apparently a late change was made that allows for future conventions so that the Presidential Campaign (of the winner) can veto any delegates and assign different delegates to the convention.
.
For Texas - and a few other delegations - this has raised an ugly specter, grass roots workers and delegates could be veto'ed and replaced with big donors.  Which, given the race for money, actually is a sensible worry.
.
The Texas delegation is trying to bring this up but they need 28% of convention to agree and the Romney campaign (and Republican Leadership in general) don't want any floor fight.
