The Mystery of Edwin Drood (with Chita Rivera)

With Kelly in town we went to see a show.  She brought a friend (Angie) and we all had a blast.  Now getting a show was difficult.  Not because there aren't things open, but we wanted to get something she would enjoy very much.  But the 2 things we immediately thought of, Newsies and Book of Mormon, we have a) seen and b) are very very expensive on short notice.

So instead we opted for a revival of The Mystery of Edwin Drood.  This is the first Broadway revival of it since it was first on Broadway, so it was fun.  It is a funny English Musical Hall (almost Panto) type show.

One of the most amazing things was Chita Rivera.  Chita is 80 years old.   Not only does she look dynamite, but she can still belt out a number or sell it softly.  Wonderous.
