Firehouses and Repurposing

There was an article in The Daily Beast today about a house on Long Island that used to be a firehouse.

Eddie and I saw these 2 Firehouses in New York a while back (March).  I thought it was interesting to see that there used to be a LOT of firehouses in the city.  Before concrete, fire codes and sprinklers.

Many are still around and look cool.  Others have been added to and repurposed.  It's interesting as you spot them.
