Pic of the Day: Oct 3

This is a picture of the refurbished statue to celebrate the end of the Spanish American War.  There are, of course, two ways to view the Spanish American War.  Either it was a war fought against Spanish aggression in support of the desire for freedom by our Cuban neighbors.  Or....  It is a trumped up war of choice by the US to gain the colonies of Puerto Rico, Guam, Philippines and a client state in Cuba.  Ask the Puerto Ricans.  But it was a different time and everyone else was doing it.
