The Old Curch - 1500s Orthodox

So, after the Ottoman's conquered Byzantium, the coverted some churchs in Constantinople to Mosques (Haiga Sofia).  But in the rest of the Empire, they continued to allow and even support the Orthodox Church.

Here in Sarajevo, they supporting building this, the "Old Church" in the 1500s.  It is a dud on the outside, but inside it is gorgeous.

The front alter.

From the view above, this is a close up picture of the doors.

The icons and roof above the door.  Behind the icon / doorway screen a choir was practising.  It sounded lovely.

A generl shot of the interior taken from the screen.

Yep, this is the outside of the Old Church.  Betrays nothing inside, does it.
