It's Funny (Sad) To Watch the Administration Try to Make Trump Make Sense

One of the funny/sad things about our VSG President Trump is his lack of basic civic knowledge. He has opinions he made 50 or 30 or 20 years ago, and they don't change.  He is like your cranky old uncle.  And like your cranky old uncle, he spouts off his opinions all the time.

The funny part is then watching the administration wrap itself into twists to implement his silly pronouncements. In a moment with the President's of the Baltic nations, VSG Drunk Uncle proclaimed that if he didn't get his damn wall he was going to send the military to patrol the border.

Only later was he told that he cannot, legally, send the military to the border.  That is in the Constitution, we cannot use the military domestically (Washington and Company weren't thinking of the Nazi's at the time, but of the British Redcoats that ran roughshod over the colonists).

So, someone told Uncle Donnie, you can't do that.  BUT Bush 2 and Obama both used the National Guard to support the border patrol.

So he said he was sending the National Guard to protect the border.  Only to be informed, again, illegal.  The National Guard can only do administrative support to free up border patrol agents.

VSG President Drunk Uncle said that is what he meant all along.

This follows a pattern.  He wants to kill drug sellers. So, after a tweet, Head Kebler Elf Jeff Sessions went out and said the Justice Department would prosecute Drug Dealers to get the death penalty - where applicable.  Which it really isn't (unless they kill someone during the drug deal). But no one wants to say Crazy Drunk Uncle has not clothes (to thoroughly mix my metaphors).
