Yes, yes, yes, I know. Giving in to the train wreck show that has been Rudy Giuliani on television IS cheapening the political discourse. But, then again, a political discourse that started with "You can grab 'em by the pussy" wasn't so special to begin with.
For those of you blessed to be outside of America during the shit show of the past 18 months, the introduction of yet another new character seems superfluous. And I would agree with you, in general. But the addition of Rudy Giuliani as a new additive to the frothy mix has only worsened the daily drip drip drip that has become the waterboarding of the American democracy.
Rudy had only been on the job 1 day when he went on a Fox news show and said that, despite the protestations of the President, "Yes, of course Trump knew about the hush money to Stormy Daniels." She is the porn star with a non-disclosure agreement Trump and his attorney are fighting.
And, Rudy helpfully explained, Trump paid back his lawyer in installments.
The next day, he stated that the payment was "in no way political" and therefore NOT a campaign violation.
But the man with the size 14 clown shoes continued; he said, "just imagine what would have happened in the October 15th debate if Trump hadn't funneled money to her..". Yes in one glorious statement, to Fox and Friends!, the Presidents favorite show, that not only was it related to the campaign, but Trump funneled money to pron star.
Sunday (2 days later) he went on ABC news show to explain that everything he said over the last 3 days was his opinion only, and you couldn't hold him to it. Despite the fact he is Trump's lawyer now.
You can't make this shit up.
Plus, not to be cruel, the years haven't been kind to Rudy's mental capacities or his waistline.
