Mascot of the Month: Mackenzie McDonald

When there is a new tennis player that is cute and a Bruin, he deserves to be Mascot of the Month. I didn't pick him earlier, because I didn't want to jinx him. But he crashed out of singles and doubles in rounds 1 and 2 (respectively), so he can at least be Mascot of the Month.

Mackenzie went 4 rounds deep in Wimbolden.

I first saw him a few years ago when he won the College tournament at the US Open (for UCLA). He also was the first college tennis player to win the singles and doubles championship the same year.
Go Bruins

This year he went 4 rounds deep (the round of 16) at Wimbolden, on grass, which he hadn't played on much before.

He is a young guy, and a bit short (he's only 5'10"). He is also an Asian-American with an Asian mother and a Caucasian father. Which doesn't mean anything, except he's cute as hell.

Anyway, Mascot of Month Mackenzie McDonald.
So, he is from the Bay Area (near San Francisco), he went to UCLA, and now he lives in Orlando, training at the US Tennis Center that Ed got funded and built!
