I Loved Hail Caesar - But It Probably Isn't For Most People

This wee3k-end we saw Hail Caesar. Now, it is true that this is a very white film.  It is set in the early 1950s during the Studio System, and it reflects that.
.
On the other hand, if you can see past that, it is wonderful.  The references to Gene Kelly, Ester Williams, Roy Rogers and Charleston Heston, it is hilarious.  Look at the stills, there is a technicolor beauty that is almost alive.
.
Tilda Swindon as Hedda Hopper (and Louella Parsons with a different hat)

Scarlett Jonhansson somehow pulls off Ester Williams and Lana Turner combined

Channing Tatum can see and dance

Alden Ehrenreich - plays a western cowboy pressed into a High Society role.
