Bain Capital "Small Business"

I wish I lived in Mitt Romney's world.  This IS NOT jealousy, but a little explanation of Mitt's wording so we little people have a sense of scale.
.
Last night Mittens, in his "regular Joe" acceptance speech said he started a "small business, Bain Capital."  Normally, when actual Americans talk about starting a "small business" - we think of a shop or two.  Maybe we think of a franchise, and compare it against the average family income ($69,301).
.
Of course, what we need to start a business varies wildly.  From $15,000 to start a neighborhood book store to $500,000 purchase a MacDonald's Franchise and build the store.
.
Which is why Mitt's "small business" story with Bain Capital confuses me.   His he lying?  Or is he so rich that $37 Million dollars ($37,000,000.00) really is "small business" start up money?
.
That $37,000,000.00 represents that Average American Family income for 533.9 years.

That is three times longer than it has been since Joseph Smith found Golden Plates in Rochester New York and was spoken to by the Angel Moroni to start the Mormon Church.  That is a long time to save.
.
Mittens, Small Business Man.
