This Isn't Such Big News

So Ben Carson's pronouncements on the origin of the Pyramids is big news today.  I don't know why. I mean, compared to a bunch of his positions, this one isn't so out there.
.
He's a doctor that doesn't believe in evolution, thinks health care for the working class is worse than slavery and thinks if Jews only had guns there would have been no holocaust.  He thinks we should rush gunman, even though he helpfully told the gunman to aim at the counter workers with the cash.
.
So this "little crazy" isn't a big deal.  And it won't cost him votes.  No voter who believes what Mr. Ca has said to date is going to go, "Oh no!  He believes the Pryamids aren't monuments."
.
In this, I feel he is on less shaky ground that anything else.  After all, the Pyramids are subject to all kinds of crazy conjecture since they don't really make sense.
.
Some people think they are giant batteries, some people think they were made by aliens - in this context granaries from the Bible is silly (since they aren't hollow), but not as far fetched as other things.
.
And, from his supporters standpoint, non-Carson supporters believe that man-made Global Warming is real and Affordable Health Care is a public good - they think we are crazy.
.
No, this isn't a big deal.
