Great New Restaurant: Joe Doe


Tonight we went to dinner with an old LA friend (Steven Demille). We went to a relatively new restaurant down in the Lower East Side called Joe Doe's.

It was great great food. Very different. For appitizers we had 1 order of Kale and Sausage on homemade flatbread and the other was Squash tempura.

For entrees, I had pork belly with polenta (great), Eddie had Hanger Steak with spicy sauce (amazing) and Steven had Chadock Cod with leeks and it was great too.
.
Desert was Bread Pudding sundae. It was really cool and in a small little place on 1st Street (near Prune if you know the area). The chef made great food. They also had "Prepared Beers" like a small batch Stout with Burbon and peanut dusk. It was great. Good food, good talk and friends.

It also helped (A LOT) that both UCLA and Wisonsin won.
