Beauitful Day in NYC

After the squall that passed through last night (during the Tree Lighting Cerimony on NBC), today dawns beautiful and sunny in the city.
.
You might have heard that the New York Senate voted down Gay Marriage. It neither shocks nor appauls me. At least the Senate finally voted, which is what we gays said wanted mostof all. Now we can work to change hearts and minds.
.
Eddie thinks we could fix a lot of this if we could just change the name tocivil union or civil marriage. (We don't have to change everyone only move the votes from 52 - 48 against to 52 to 48% for - that's really on 2.01% of people). The problem is that "marriage" (the word) is what gives the rights in the federal and state laws. And changing that definition to include "civil unions" is also prohibited by DOMA. But, whatever.
.
Today is too funny and nice to worry about that right this minute.
.
Christmas is coming and none and nearly none of my shopping is done! But I am no working right now - so don't expect much!
