Are they stupid or PLAYING POLITICS? Pick Me! Pick Me! I Know!!!!!

Joe Liberman and John McCain reprise their roles as the Senate's Biggest Lying Assholes working purely for political points since the Attempted Time's Square Bombing occurred.
.
The both have plaintively whined that the bombing suspect shouldn't have been read his Miranda Rights. Boo de Hoo de. And that we should not be required to read ANYONE ACCUSED of Terrorism their Miranda Rights.
.
Okay stupid assholes, let's take this one lie at a time.
.
1) You don't think that Terror Suspects should be read their rights before they have to speak with the police. And you decide to loudly and often proclaim that "liberals" in general and that the Obama Administration in particular is soft on this.
.
Hey dumbshits, guess what - that is already the law of the land. To bad you as SENATORS don't know this. From the Supreme Court Ruling TWENTY FIVE YEARS AGO!!!! (paraphrased following)...
.
As reported in The New York Times, Shahzad was first questioned without receiving Miranda warnings—that is, he was not, at first, reminded of his right to a lawyer or the right to remain silent. More than 25 years ago, in New York v. Quarles, the Supreme Court carved out a public safety exception to the judicially created safeguard that Miranda warnings be given to a suspect in custody before he is questioned, concluding that "the need for answers to questions in a situation posing a threat to the public safety outweighs the need for the prophylactic rule protecting the Fifth Amendment's privilege against self-incrimination." When the "public safety" factor evaporated, Shahzad was given the Miranda warnings but nevertheless waived those constitutional rights and continued to cooperate. (Ruling from the Law Review: Summary from the Daily Beast)

Okay. Point 2 - you don't think anyone accused of Terror should be given Miranda Rights and should be subject to "enhanced interrogation".
.
Okay... Perhaps you have never heard of the founding principal of our country, innocent until proven guilty. When a Police Force (city, state or federal) can accuse anyone of a crime and it cannot be reviewed by a judge, nor do you give them the rights of a lawyer AND you can torture - ahem - use enhanced interrogation techniques, that country is called a Dictatorship. Some recent examples, Saddam Hussein's Iraq, Communist China, North Korea, Zimbabwe.
.
Assholes (for want of restraining myself to a polite word). But it plays pretty on TV, right?
.
One more thing, does this zeal and glee in torturing - ahem - enhanced interrogation apply to all accused terrorists. How about the Christian Militia in Michigan that was planning to kill Police, then bomb and attack their funerals? How many of these bad guys to we get to keep in isolation with no access to light for 4 months? Which do we get to waterboard over 300 times in a week?
