This is the Dragon of Ljubljana. This image is from the Dragon Bridge. The dragon was said to swell in the labriynth below the Castle.
It is now kind of the mascot of the city. Even the city seal has the dragon on top of the Castle Tower. It is a pretty hip mascot.

Legend is that he will move his tail as a virgin crosses the bridge (it was curisouly still as we crossed).
