The White Death

Birth through mid-40's, living winters in California did not leave me with an appreciate of Winter.
.
In fact I tended to fear winter. I remember flying over the country and seeing it blanket in white. As everyone else ooo'ed and ahh'ed, I worried about the plane going down and me dying of frostbit and succumbing to the White Death.
.
But now I live in New York. I no longer fear the White Death.
.
My fear has transformed into a nice healthy disgust.
.
I do not like snow or winter and I think a couple of the "seasons" (as in "I miss the seasons" big sigh) are totally overrated.
