Because, in Florida, shooting and unarmed 60 year old black man IS "Normal Protocol"

Just another day in Florida where a 60 year old black man, getting cigarettes out of his car, is shot because he was "threatening".
.

The unarmed 60 (SIXTY!) year old man was in his own driveway at night.  And he had "something metallic" in his hands - WHICH COULD BE A GUN.  They were car keys.  For the car.  For his car in his driveway.  But the flash of metal was enough for the officers to lay out 15 rounds into the car and the home-owners leg.
.
But, never fear, the Sheriff assures us that the police officers didn't do anything wrong.
.
What do you want to bet that two black officers that shot a 60 year old white man in his own driveway might raise a question or two?
.
I will define it again for you..
.
Lynching is an extrajudicial execution carried out by a mob, often by hanging, but also by burning at the stake or shooting, in order to punish an alleged transgressor, or to intimidate, control, or otherwise manipulate a population of people. (emphasis mine) It is related to other means of social control that arise in communities, such as charivari, Skimmingtonriding the rail, and tarring and feathering. Lynchings have been more frequent in times of social and economic tension, and have often been the means used by the politically dominant population to oppress social challengers.
.
What does the Sheriff say about it....
.
The Sheriff, comfortable with the
the training and outcome.
“Right now we are comfortable from a training perspective that our officers did follow standard protocols,” Morgan said. “I believe the standard we use and train to is a landmark U.S. Supreme Court case which is a reasonable test.” The officers are on paid administrative leave, pending an investigation.
Although he described the situation as a tragedy, Morgan also noted “This is a common occurrence. We live in a very violent society.”
.
Particularly in Florida if you are a black man  and carrying a dangerous weapon... like car keys or skittles.
