I'm going to guess ... Yes - He Lost Control

The local news, always one to hype the story, talked today about a young man who was killed by his own remote control helicopter.  He was a member of a Remote Controller Helicopter enthusiasts group.

In discussing this the CBS reporter said,  "We don't know if he lost control of the Helicopter or not."

I'm going to guess, Yes.  I doubt that this was one of those rare suicide by helicopter incidents.

They also help to tell us that this isn't rare.  A Remote Controller Helicopter killed a person in Switzerland last July.  And one in Brazil in 2009.  And one in England in 2007 and one in Houston in 2005.

I'm going to say 5 deaths in 8 years actually IS rare.  They aren't little remote controlled killing machines.
