Last Week's Project

Ed made fun of me on Facebook, but this was last week's project.
.
It is mass produced cardboard deer head, juxtaposed by the application of map pages.
.
It speaks to the waste of reality.  No one needs maps anymore, as reading a map or atlas is a lost art.  People use Goggle Maps or MapQuest or (in a pinch) Apple Maps and no longer have a "physical" relationship with the land.
.
Likewise a cardboard deer head speaks to a longing for a relationship to nature but echoes it with the sad artificiality of a cardboard animal head.
.
So no, it isn't just a faux dear head.  It is a metaphorical cry for physical manifestation in an artificial / virtual world.
.
Can I keep it now?
