Malba

MALBA is the Latin American modern art museum. We saw a very cool show about. He created two characters to explain the rapid and unequal growth of South America. Juanito -a boy growing up in the slums on the edge of the city. And Romonna, a poor girl turned to prostitution.

One of his styles(above) was college. For Juanito is was the detritus of the slums. For Romonna it was lace and trappings of seduction. You can't so much see it, but the picture above is very 3D.

He also used amazing wood-block collage to print works of art. The picture below is made from the wood block. I have idea how he figured out how it would turn out.
