I Did Not Expect the Iran Agreement To Happen THIS Quickly

Wow!  I though we might be in a for a few moments of discussion about the Agreement between Iran and the 5+ powers (China, France, England, Germany, Russia and the US).  You know, maybe what the details are.  But Bebe Netanyahu's pre-election trip to the US Congress had sealed this into a Republican v. Democratic issue before it was delivered.

Republican's attacked the agreement before the details were released.  Democrats weren't much better,  usually either attacking it or supporting it without reading it.

Oh well.  Given the way the agreement was set up, that means it will pass.  Republicans will need 2/3 of both houses to derail it.

By making it about Obama, instead of actually arguing the terms of the agreement, then they have put Democrats - even those who might have otherwise voted against it - in the position of default supporting the agreement.  A few might vote with the Republicans.

Actually my guess is MANY Democrats will vote against this treaty.  Many who have large jewish constituencies or are in a tight election race.  In fact, probably almost enough to overturn it.

And the theater goes on.

It is a bit ironic that Bebe, in throwing his little hissy fit - and the Republicans, in their pathological desire to embarrass President Obama, conspired to show their distain early in the process.  Which actually sealed the result they were opposed to.
