Alabama, for those of you counting, is the very same state that has Jim Crow laws against mixing of the races not only on the books, but written into their state constitution. And they recently passed a law making it okay for anyone (doctors, paramedics, police, grocery store clerks, - you name it) to refuse service to a gay person because of a deeply held belief (that homos are icky).
So no surprise here that a state legislator thinks you should prosecute the woman who was physically assaulted at 14 years old. The age of consent in Alabama is 16, so the two 16 year olds he harassed when he was in his late 30's and met them at their high school is all a-okay in Alabama.
