Once again, in an interview she talked about how horrible it was that Congress set light bulb standards and how Republicans are trying to over turn them.

But Republicans actually set the standards and voted it into law. The standards passed in 2007, under George W. Bush's management. It was part of the Republican-backed energy bill. It was sponsored by the Republican Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee Rep. Fred Upton (R-Michigan).

But you wouldn't know that from their talk or stories. Democrats are HORRIBLE at communication.

This isn't to blame the Republicans for anything. It is to say that they are smart and on message. Michelle Bachmann is never called on this. And it is a simple easy talking point "Democrats even want to tell you what light bulb to use." It is not true - but it is effective.
