Geary's New Signature Theater Down the Road from Us

Last night Eddie and I saw "Angels in America - Millennium Approaches" at the "Signature Theater.

The Signature Theater is a small (very small) little theater near us on 42nd - past 10th.

.

If you have visited us within a year - you have seen a new building going up about a block away. This is the new "Related" building - by the same group that did the Time Warner Building.

Inside the new building they are also building a new 3 stage home for the Signature Theater Group. It was designed by Frank Geary.

Now if you look at the chunky space you see the signature of Frank Geary - who knows sound design beautifully - but loves his weird ass shapes.

Look in to the stage from the balcony.

It is so very Geary. Isn't it. It should be a really cool space.

The pictures above this have all been of the Main stage. But the picture immediately above is the smaller "End" Stage (seats 299). It will be cool.
