Some Days They Really Don't Make Any Sense

So, most days the Empire State Building is lit up in homage to something.  A couple of days ago it was for "make believe".  For the next 3 nights it is Red, White & Blue for Veterans' Day.

Last night, it was these garish colors.  I saw they as I went to get some water and they all but hurt my eyes.

Last time it looked kind of like this, the Giants and the Jets were both in the playoff,s and each got 1/2 the building.  And so I thought, what could these ugly colors be?

The official site said it was ESB Private Lighting.  That would be Empire State Building showing off what it can do.  To ill effect, I think.
