So, I got this e-mail from Rick Santorum's campaign...
.
Our campaign proved again last night that Republican voters want a work horse to take on President Obama. They see that in our campaign.
.
And I wonder, "work horse"? Usually I understand a campaign's terminology - even when it consists of short-hand to inflame the base. But I am totally missing the "work horse" imagery.
.
Does he mean, boring but tireless? Is he contrasting himself with Obama or Mitt Romney - neither of which are greyhounds. Does he mean dependable but dull?
.
I don't get it. But I don't get he sweater vest appeal either - so I must not be the target audience.
