There Really Is Almost Nothing to Say...

Penn State former President, Vice President, Athletic Director and Football Coach Joe Paterno let a 55 year old man who prey'ed on children continue to do so (in the locker rooms and on trips), so that Penn State's Football program wouldn't be tarnished.  They let him go, and they gave hime over $100,000 to keep quiet.
.
Shame on them...
.
I understand that the money and the fame corrupt.  And bad things happen when College Football gets too big.  But at Wisconsin it was money for shoes, at UCLA it was allowing football players to park in handicap spots.  Both schools suspended players and coaches.
.
Is there an appropriate punishment for a school or a football program that enables a 50 year old man to sodomize a 10 year old boy in the locker room shower?  And then lets him bring more boys to the locker room and away games and stay on the sideline.
.
The full report from Louis Freeh, former FBI Director, has details.  You can read it, but it is heartbreaking, and infuriating, and painful.
