So I saw "The Girl I Left Behind" last night. It is a cabaret story about women in the late 1800's / early 1900's who sang dressed as men - but fooled no one. It was very good, and the singer was great (Jessica Walker).
.
I like the whole thing, but for an encore she stepped completely out of the show and sang a tiny number that I never hear! It is from the movie (that no one saw) called, One From The Heart.
.
I have put Cyrstal Gayle's version up - she sang it in the movie over Teri Garr's love sick face staring at her boyfriend (Frederic Forest) as he begs her not to get on a place with Raul Julia.
.
I love this tiny song so much.
