The problem is that he (and anyone that votes for him) is a hypocritical asshole. It is totally their right to vote for him - and to be hypocritical assholes, but don't pretend there is any reason aside from you are liars that hate Democrats.

Mark Sanford, you see, was once a Republican Representative to the House. He voted to Impeach President Clinton for lying about an affair, something he recently said disqualified Mr. Clinton from ever serving the country again.

Later Mr. Sanford became Governor of South Carolina. As Governor he:

1) Carried on a multi-year affair with a woman in Argentina, while lying to his wife.
2) Lied to the Press about the affair.
3) Argued that he was "hiking" the Appalachia Trail, when asked why he wasn't fulfilling his state duties.
4) USED STATES FUNDS to fly to Argentina to carry on this affair.
5) Paid a state fine of over $70,000 and left the Governor position in disgrace (albeit at the end of his term).

Well fine, you say, but he is past all that, forgive and forget. (Which you can never say about a Democrat, but what-ever). But is he past all that? Is he?

Well, his ex-wife would appear to disagree. In February she filed a harassment and trespassing lawsuit against him. Why? Well.. he violated court orders and entered her house when she wasn't home. To watch a sports event on the big screen! Because, well, hell, it was only playing in every sports bar in town and he couldn't be bothered to go there when he could just break into his ex-wife's house, watch her TV and drink her liquor. He paid for it originally, right, he should get to use it.

And, he is about to get elected because he is running against a Democrat. So when Republicans say "We hold all people to the same standard." You will understand when we say, Bullshit.

By the way, to prove either a) he has giant balls or b) he is a totally insensitive dickwad he asked his wife to be campaign manager again. I know she declined, and I can only hope she said, "blow me."
