Michigan Leads Today's Parade of Nincompoops with Requirement of "Rape Insurance"

Oh to be an old white man - and a legislator in Michigan.  After Michigan's crappy football season, AND dreaded Sparty in the Rose Bowl - they decided they had to take it out on someone, and the Republicans looked around and said, "Ahah! Rape Victims!"

Which might seem a odd group to go after, but apparently no Vagina shall escape their gaze.

So Michigan has just passed a law (LINK) to outlaw all private and public insurance from covering abortion, even in the case of rape or incest.  Unless you purchase a separate insurance rider that covers abortion in the case of rape.  Before the rape.

It's SO mean-spirited... even the pro-life Republican Governor has veto'ed it.  Twice.

But those old men, they are tricky and annoyed Big Blue isn't in the BCS mix and someone will pay.  Rape Victims.  So they figured out a way to pass it into law without the Governor's signature.  Because, apparently, well I don't know.. women who get raped deserve it?  Or .. oh yeah, they think it can't result in pregnancy.  Or - who knows what they hell they are thinking, or if they are thinking.  But it leads today's Parade of Nincompoops!
