Poutine is (deep breath) a bowl of cheese curd and french fires doused with beef gravy.

Somehow the Quebecers (or Québécois) have taken the 3rd favorite food of Wisconsinites (after (1) Brats and Beer and (2) Friday Night Fish Fry) and combined it with the 3rd best food from McDonalds (after (1) Quarter- pounder with cheese and (2) Boiling Apple Sugar Pie) and decided to put them in a bowl together. But then.. no - simply cheese curd and french fries isn't unhealthy enough... what can we do?
Dump tinned, beef gravy on them! And (as they said in Quebec) voilà.

Anyway, Ottawa has a week-end Poutine festival. Since it is the week-end before the Tulip festival, I can only assume they have to do something after winter blues or they would shoot each other, eh?
