I Support Bernie

I support Bernie Sanders.  Yes, I know he can't win.  But I disagree on why.  Basically the entire reason he can't win is because he is crazy looking.
.
He can't win because he has bad hair.
I read recently (I am not sure where, I think it was The New York Times) that he can't win because his platform is crazy and maybe socialist.  He believes (according the article), in the following, which  (quotes from the article) "no one can support":
.
1. Tuition at Public Universities should be free.
2. Universal Health Care should be provided by the country.
3. Safety net programs Social Security and Medicare should be expanded and the Military funding cut back.
4. Taxes will have to raise to pay for this.
.
And this is "un-supportable" by any reasonable person.  Bullshit.
.
Re: 1. In the 1950s - 1980s the University of California system (and others) WERE tuition free.  (This was under what administrations?? (let me think... drum drum drum) oh yeah, Saint Ronald Reagan, Governor of California during part of this.)
.
Granted I paid "fees" of $700 thrice a year, but tuition was zero.  The fees have increased and the tuition is now approaching $20,000 a year.  The difference?  In the past we invested in education.  Now we choose to invest (i.e. flush down the toilet) a billion dollars a year in Afghanistan and another billion dollars a year in bombs over Iraq/Syria.  And back then the economy and middle classes grew.  I can see what the political classes say no one can support this.
.
Re: 2.  Half-assed health care reform (Obamacare) has cut costs and the rate of health care increases dramatically.  Wow, one might infer from that result, that more reform would cut even more.
.
Re: 3.  Well, in face we will have to expand Social Security and Medicare - whether you consider it foolish or not.  Our population is growing old and living longer.  So to claim that we don't have to expand these programs is, you know, a lie.
.
Re: 4. I forgot, honesty is not something we reward in our politicians.  Pretending trickle down fairy dust is what makes economies grow according to stories - but with ZERO proof in reality.
.
No, Bernie can't win because invested interests (i.e. big donors) in both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party don't support investments in people because they can't commoditize them.  They prefer bombs and tax breaks.  But they can't say that, so they call him crazy and use pictures where he looks crazy.
