Michelle Obama gave another beautiful speech on Monday in honor of Hillary Clinton. You remember Michelle, she wrote the best parts of Melania Trumps speech?
Anyway, in part of her speech on Monday she said “I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves," drawing criticism from onlookers arguing that slaves did not play a substantial role in building the White House, or that the slaves who built the White House were paid.
But it has been fact checked and - indeed - slaves were part of the crew that built the white house and they were not paid (the definition of slavery - FYI). (link from NY Daily News)
But Bill O'Reily, in an unhinged moment, "refuted" the First Lady by saying that, sure they were slaves, but there were weld fed and had lodgings provided.
Hummmm Okay.... You see Bill, masters "fed their slaves well" so they worked hard. And the slave masters "provided" housing so that the slaves didn't run away. You dumb astri*ks.
