As you might remember, Alex was Lady Macbeth that we saw with Kenneth Branagh. She was amazing.

But I suppose I was really reminded how great she was in Dr. Who watching the latest Dr. Who. They have made the Doctor regenerate as an old guy - which is, you know, whatever. Btu there is a new actress obsessed with him and it makes me realize how magnificent Alex was. It isn't easy playing the science fiction love interest and bringing emotion to it.

She is 51 and lives in California now with here 13 year old daughter.

One thing I didn't know, she was married to Ralph Fiennes for about 4 years (1993 - 1997). She was married again in 1998 to Florian Haertel - although separated now (per Wikipedia).

Anyway, she impresses and inspires me. So here is to Lady Alex. You rock.
