This article from Salon is funny, but in a "Did you really think that?" way. While I am not one to cast stones - I am one to say, "Kids, you have to think things through." I mean following your dreams is great and all - but there are right and wrong ways to do it.

If you read the article, it very much seems this young man didn't think it all the way through. He didn't really realize the job market or qualifications for the job he wanted to have.

And in the biggest annoyance to me, he quit and then sued for unemployment. (And won!)

All the while he writes this as if the worlds conspired against him. The world did not conspire against him - the world didn't give a rat's ass.

Which isn't to say do follow your dreams. It is to say - investigate, plan and then do.
